Dr Jawaid was born and raised in Houston, TX where he completed his BS at the University of Houston. He finished his medical school training at Marshall University School of Medicine and then completed a combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and an adult Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center before completing an 18 month Advanced and Submucosal Endoscopy Fellowship at the University of Florida.
His clinical and research focus at Baylor College of Medicine has been on advanced tissue resection and submucosal endoscopy for precancerous and cancerous polyps. He also has a special interest in advanced endoscopic energy and bipolar technology. He has authored numerous scientific articles describing novel methods for endoscopic dissection and developed assessment tools designed to help trainees learn endoscopic resection.

Dr. Roser Vega is an accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist and deputy director of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme for the North Central London region.
At UCH, she leads the interventional colonoscopy service providing advanced diagnosis and endoscopic treatment for colonic polyps and early colon cancers.
She also delivers specialist care to a large cohort of patients with complex inflammatory bowel disease and provides her expertise in inflammatory bowel disease related colonic neoplasia.
Dr. Vega regularly presents in national and international meetings and has actively participated in live endoscopy courses teaching about all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy.

Dr Murad has a background in Interventional Endoscopy both as a fellow at Mayo Clinic Rochester, and as a member of Faculty at Washington University St Louis, where as Director of Ultrascopic Ultrasound, he co-founded the POEM program. He is an experienced practitioner of EMR, ESD and FTRD procedures, with many years experience.
Dr Murad has a particular interest in technology, devices and electrosurgical platforms and energy for Third Space Endoscopy.

Norio Fukami, MD, AGAF, FACG, MASGE, FJGES, is Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic, Arizona and Director of the Therapeutic Endoscopy and Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship programme, which specialises in a wide variety of therapeutic endoscopy procedures. He received his medical degree from Kyushu University Faculty of Medicine in Fukuoka, Japan, and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
He is actively involved in the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and has served for multiple ASGE Committees as well as running many ASGE courses as an educator and director. He is a currently chair of the ASGE ESD special interest group. He also serves as a member of the international committee for Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society.
He has authored many peer-reviewed papers, editorials, invited articles, and book chapters on therapeutic endoscopy, including EUS, ERCP, and luminal interventions. He was also an editor of the first English textbook on ESD. He was honored at the State Capital of Colorado in 2010, receiving recognition for excellence in cancer care with advanced endoscopic treatment, and 2018 he received the Master of Endoscopy Award from ASGE.
